The POWTI device saves lives

POWTI stands for Point of Wounding Trauma Indicator. It is the world’s first fully automated, stand-alone, traumatic injury detection device. When activated, it connects you directly to emergency support – saving critical minutes, and therefore, saving lives.

POWTI is a small, cell phone-like machine that can be worn on your person or be stored in an office, school, or medical kit. The software updates daily, and the battery lasts an average of three years. With POWTI, you don’t need to be found: it shows where you are, so emergency responders can find you as quickly as possible.

Our proven, patented technology helps to save lives by dramatically decreasing the time it takes for emergency professionals to respond. Every minute saved reduces mortality by at least 5%. Our solution can increase survival rates of trauma victims by more than 50 percent.

Why the POWTI device
is so important

The POWTI device saves lives. Pure and simple. Our mission is to ensure that lives are not lost unnecessarily, that our heroes are protected and that every individual benefits from the fastest possible medical response.

Every second counts

In an emergency, you need help fast. But the sad reality is, relying on the 911 system may not give you the help you need fast enough. The U.S. national average 911 emergency response time, from the time of the emergency call to the time emergency responders arrive on the scene is:

  • 7 minutes in urban areas

  • 7.7 minutes in suburban areas

  • 14.5 minutes in rural areas*

That’s far longer than it can take to die from traumatic injuries, such as those caused by falls, fire, violence, or car crashes.
